So What’s it all about?
This Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 5 month Course, designed for committed surfers who want to, not only radically experience God on a whole new level, but also learn what it means to be a surf missionary. Of course, also get some epic waves. YWAM and Christian Surfers are partnering together to make this school the ultimate platform to prepare you for surf missions.
Local Mission Phase
This phase will involve life changing teaching from experienced ministers from various nations – covering many topics such as Father Heart of God, Relationships, Spiritual Warfare, Missions, and heaps more. Along with that there will be involvement in the local surf community, working alongside Christian Surfers to run camps and day trips, an outreach at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, and completing surf rescue and 1st aid certificates.
Cross Cultural Phase /Road trip
This phase entails a road trip or overseas outreach to a country where the surf pumps and the people need Jesus, Or we may do both.
Living out everything you have experienced in the local mission phase and reach out to surf communities in Australia and surrounding nations. Everywhere there are waves there are surfers to be reached. God has given us passions and gifts to reach an exploding surf culture on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and the world. A Surfers DTS is not for people who want to learn to surf, it is for surfers who want to see the surf culture redeemed and turned around for God. As Christian’s we have an opportunity and a responsibility to be a light in a dark culture.

Cost?
Local Mission Phase – $4300 + $250 (surf rescue & 1st Aid Cert). This includes food, accommodation, transport.
Missions Trip Phase – approx. $2500 – $3500 ground fees + Airfares. (excludes personal spending)
