Freshwater Surfer Nick Riley made an impressive return from a dilapidating injury in the 25th Jesus Pro Am at Manly, to claim victory in the Open Men’s Division against good mate and rival Boardrider Club member Dustin Atkinson (Manly).
With the Men’s final replicating a local inter-club heat, Queenscliff Boardriders Club member Riley, faced the in-form Atkinson from the North Steyne Boardriders Club.
In excellent 1m surf at Queenscliff Beach, both Riley and Atkinson displayed great early round form, with each progressing undefeated to the man-on-man 20-minute final. However, it was Riley who quickly stamped his authority on the final, posting a 6.10 score to move to a good lead position. >>more (pdf)
