NG23 Speaker
NG 2023 SPEAKER: Dave Standen
Dave gets his stoke from all things salty. If he’s not charging one-foot waves on a nine-foot foamy, you’ll find him on the waterways of southern Sydney, fishing, diving, or pushing his grommies into waves at his fambam’s favourite break, Boat Harbour, Cronulla.
Dave is married to Elise, and together they spend their lives wrangling their four frothy grommets, Rocky, Poppy, Banjo, and Ronny. He is the Senior Pastor at Kingsway Community Church in Caringbah, NSW, and has been serving in CS Cronulla for 14 years. Dave gets his kicks out of communicating the Word of God, loving others practically, inspiring people to rise to their calling in Christ, and working creatively with others to see God’s Kingdom bust a move here on planet earth.
Most notably, Dave has a PhD in arvo naps, loves to cook for a crowd, and may be the only person to run someone over in a Mr Whippy van – at youth group.
